In December 2004, the Financial Times best summed up the common theme behind Korean TV drama mini-series:
"Beating the odds to find true love and happiness."
This is what Korean TV drama mini-series are all about. Combine this romantic "beating the odds" theme with unforgettable music scores, beautiful actors/actresses, traditional family values, cliffhangers, and a final "end-all" episode, it's easy to see why millions of people worldwide are "addicted" to this refreshing entertainment genre.
